If you are resident in the Parish of Kingston Buci or have a qualifying connection to the parish you have the legal right to get married in your Parish Church, irrespective of your own faith. You can check which parish you belong to on www.achurchnearyou.com
Other qualifying connections are:
- If one or both of you live in the parish
- If one or both of you have been regular worshippers at St Giles’ or St Julian’s for at least six months and are on the church’s electoral roll
- If one or both of you have some other connection to the parish such as your parents lived in the parish during your lifetime, your parents were married here, or you were baptised here.
It is a real privilege to be able to assist you on your special day. As with baptisms the first step to getting married at St Julian’s and St Giles’ is to come to clergy surgery on Wednesdays or speak to one of the clergy team on Sunday after church. If you want to book a wedding please bring your passports and a proof of address (recent bank statement or utility bill) to your meeting with the clergy. If you don’t have a passport we’ll be able to advise on alternative ID.
